Make a difference in the lives of women and children escaping domestic and family violence and homelessness in the Nepean.
The Haven – Nepean Women’s Shelter is a not-for-profit charity established to provide crisis accommodation for women and children. It is part of the Women’s Community Shelter Network. This role provides an opportunity to join a small team committed to driving social change.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS FOR THE ROLE
The Business Manager is one of our senior leadership roles and reports to the Haven Board and supports them to establish and maintain effective business management systems and processes.
This leadership role supports the development of effective and efficient governance and fundraising systems and processes that provide the foundation for effective operation of The Haven Women’s Shelter.
The role also requires functional and professional working relationships with the WCS Hub and external partners and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills in business management, IT and other relevant business support skills with experience working in for-purpose organisations providing business support functions.
- Strong project management skills and experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to work independently to meet deadlines and commitments.
- Experience and success in fundraising and grants writing.
- Commitment to work within a social justice framework with a sensitivity to cross-cultural issues.
- Marketing and social media experience an advantage.
- Proficient working knowledge of computer applications.
