We advocate on behalf of our members to drive policy, practice, law reform and cultural change to increase women's safety, justice and wellbeing in the context of domestic and family violence.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Policy Officer will be responsible for producing high quality research, policy advice, reports and government submissions that draw on the experiences and voices of our members and survivor-advocates in accordance with the organisation’s vision, purpose and strategic and operational objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Undertake consultations with key stakeholders and represent Women’s Safety NSW in policy forums.

  • Research, consultation and preparation of submissions and policy briefs across a broad range of systemic issues facing women’s safety, justice and wellbeing in the context of domestic and family violence.

  • Plan, manage, deliver and evaluate Women’s Safety NSW’s projects as agreed with the Chief Executive Officer.

  • Assistance with the development and implementation of Women’s Safety NSW advocacy and campaign strategies.
