Tutors in English as a Second Language

Wellsprings for Women Inc

We are looking to engage one or more EAL tutors to deliver English classes in a number of locations in the City of Casey.

The hours vary depending on the applicants' availability. Our EAL classes usually run for two hours each time and are delivered mostly in the morning. Our EAL learners are women from migrant and refugee backgrounds, many of whom have little or no previous education.

The Tutors are supported by an Education Manager and a team of experienced EAL teachers. Wellsprings offers opportunities for professional development and skill building .

Wellsprings for Women EAL classes are funded by the Adult Community and Further Education (ACFE) and aim at improving the learners' literacy and numeracy skills to enable them to lead a more self-reliant life in their engagement with the broader society and to eventually secure employment or a volunteering role if they wish to do so.

If you enjoy working with migrant and refugee women, have some experience in adult teaching and group facilitation, and you are looking for a flexible job in a fabulous workplace, then we encourage you to get in touch with our Education Manager Gladys Torres.

The teaching roles will start in term 3 (15 July 2024) but you could be hired earlier for induction purposes.

To inquire about these roles please email [email protected] using the subject line: Tutors in English as a Second Language enquiry via EthicalJobs.
