The Women’s Housing Company (WHC) Limited is a specialist provider of housing and homelessness services for women with and without children.

We are a registered charity and Tier 1 Community Housing Provider managing over 1200 properties providing housing, accommodation and support for women and children.

About the role

The General Manager, Customers and Communities is responsible for delivering on the Strategic and Business Plan priorities related to best practice housing services, tenant engagement, community engagement and partnerships.

The role leads two teams to provide high-quality housing customer service, support for women in crisis or who need help to access and sustain housing, and community engagement and partnership to empower women and build vibrant, inclusive communities.

The General Manager (GM) will drive continuous improvement in the development of best practice policies and processes for housing services, support partnerships and tenants and community engagement. This role drives results that deliver tenant satisfaction, tenancy sustainment, financial viability, and compliance with Tier 1 NRSCH registration.

The GM will support the CEO and Board in positioning the organisation for growth through service development, innovation and best-practice outcomes for women.

This role leads:

  • Housing service strategy and planning
  • Best practice housing access and tenancy management services
  • Tenant and community engagement
  • A high performing team and positive and collaborative culture

About you

If you are a dynamic and strategic leader who thrives on working in collaboration to grow, transform and shape best practice community housing services, this role is for you!

We’re looking for a strong leader who is committed to developing, supporting and coaching your team to deliver great outcomes for women and children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

You will have senior leadership experience, preferably in the community housing sector or related industry. You’ll also have experience in social housing or tenancy management with relevant qualifications in leadership and management, business, social housing, social work or related field.
