Women’s Health East is a women’s health promotion agency based in Doncaster East that works across Melbourne’s eastern region. WHE’s vision is equality, empowerment, health and wellbeing for all women. Our strategic priorities are to advance gender equality, prevent violence against women and improve women’s sexual and reproductive health.

Role summary

The Team Leader Gender Equality is a newly created role that is responsible for providing leadership, development and coordination of a range of initiatives designed to advance gender equality and promote gender transformative practice. This position will lead the delivery of high-quality fee-for-service products, specialist advice, education and training.

This position provides operational support and direction to staff and works as part of a team to support organisations to take an intersectional approach to Gender Equality Plans, progress associated with workplace gender equality, undertake gender impact assessments and to take positive action to promote gender equality. The Team Leader is a member of the leadership team and plays an important role in ensuring collaboration across Women’s Health East’s health promotion programs and initiatives to achieve organisational goals and objectives.
