White Box Enterprises (WBE) is a social enterprise intermediary on a mission to transform Australia’s employment system. Our goal is to create 5,000 jobs by 2030 for Australia’s overlooked and underserved jobseekers. We build, and support others to build and replicate large-scale, sustainable social enterprises that provide meaningful, award-wage jobs, as well as training and support, to people who are excluded from the mainstream employment market.   

Our work is supported by various Governments and philanthropists and increasingly we play a critical role in advocating to government in order to create an environment that supports the establishment and growth of these incredible organisations. 

The Role

We need someone to source and support a number of roles to provide to Ghost Kitchens – an amazing project looking to specifically hire Australians who have experienced disadvantage in accessing the labour market.

What’s unique in this role is that you’ll see and directly affect successful outcomes from end-to-end – no hand-offs. This will be something that’s going to be incredibly rewarding for you and the communities of people you’ll support. You will understand those you work with at an individual level and help them succeed through life-changing work opportunities.

Although relevant, we’re not just looking for anyone with a common background of job-active support or case work.

You’ll be considered if you:

• Understand the barriers to employment that exist and are committed to the issues we’re trying to resolve. You might even have lived experience
• Are opportunistic and creative, with licence to explore solutions that no-one might have considered
• Foster great relationships with all types of people and communities
• Are great at finding and placing talent and drawing out hidden gems
• Appreciate complex needs and provide practical, timely and effective guidance (in a range of different ways) to help others navigate well in society
• Are aligned to our values of moonshot, create together, everything is figure-out-able, and best experience.

You’ll be working on the lands of the Wangal and Darug People, between Five Dock and Western Sydney locations. You’ll need to be able to travel as you need to make connections, and be part of teams based in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
