• Based in Maclean or Grafton offices but expected to work across both offices and within the Clarence Valley region as per operational needs.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Registered Nurse who is passionate about Aged Care. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our dedicated and goal driven Home Care team to provide clinical care for our consumers in their homes.

About the program

Wesley Home Care offers older people a range of services designed to enhance their wellbeing and promote independence. Care and services to support and assist older people who wish to remain living in their own homes is provided through the Commonwealth Home Support Program and Home Care Packages. These two major programs are a key focus of our service delivery in home care.

About the role

As an RN in Home Care, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based nursing assessment, care planning and clinical care within a person-centred model.

You will work in partnership with Care Advisors, Team Leaders, Support Workers and external clinical, medical and allied health professionals to achieve holistic and individualised consumer care to older Australians with complex care needs living at home.

This position offers a Monday to Friday working schedule which is negotiable.

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Nurses Award for aged care employees. Generous salary packaging available for permanent employees.

Essential criteria

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Minimum 3 years working in a clinical setting as a Registered Nurse
• An understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
• Knowledge of My Aged Care funding and Aged Care services
• Class C drivers licence (minimum P2 license to drive a Wesley Mission car).
