THE ROLE

We are growing! WSSSA has just been provided a significant additional funding as part of the SA Government’s response to the SA Royal Commission into Domestic and Family Violence. A unique opportunity has arisen for a transformative Program Manager that coordinate a large service delivery team with the support of team leaders, whilst also overseeing other service delivery teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and values driven leader to join our State-wide Reponses team. The Program Manager is responsible for the leadership, management and coordination across the Domestic Violence Crisis Line, Safe at Home and the Migrant Women’s Support Program. These essential programs provide crisis intake, case management and outreach responses to alleviate the effects of domestic and family violence.

This is a full-time position that will promote and maintain a healthy and productive workplace through positive leadership, effective delegation of work and transparent and consistent decision making.

ABOUT YOU

As a key part of the WSSSA leadership team, the Manager, Statewide Programs will thrive in a high-paced environment, love working with people and complex team environments and is able to roll their sleeves up to liaise with clients, staff and other leaders.

To be considered for this position you will have significant leadership experience with a proven ability to manage multiple, complex teams including those that participate in shift work and remote working arrangements. Other key requirements include:

  • A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers;
  • Experience in developing, and implementing program plans for people affected by domestic and family violence;
  • Understanding of risk and safety management strategies for people who have experienced DFV
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with a diverse range of marginalised and highly vulnerable people including First Nations and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse people;
  • Significant experience in managing people, from recruitment through to performance management.
  • A current full Australian drivers licence, and be eligible for, or hold a DHS Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
