The Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation (Wurundjeri Corporation) is a Registered Aboriginal Party appointed under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006.

The Corporation holds statutory responsibilities for the protection and management of Aboriginal cultural heritage objects and places in Victoria.

Additional functions of the corporation include, environmental land management, cross-cultural education, traditional welcome to country and smoking ceremonies, and cultural consultations.

About the role

As a newly created role the is a generalist end to end recruitment position supporting Cultural Heritage, Events, Education, Finance, IT and Compliance to name a few. Your key responsibilities include:

• Taking a detailed brief from the hiring manager
• Writing and posting job ads across relevant job boards
• First point of contact for all candidates
• Screening and shortlisting suitable candidates
• Organising and attending interviews to supporting Hiring Managers
• First point of contact for all candidates
• Work closely with HR for all contract and onboarding processes

About you

• Min 3 years end- to - end generalist recruitment experience
• Experience working within an Indigenous organisation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills
• Ability to prioritise and meet tight timelines
• Excellent candidate management skills
• Great attention to detail
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Enjoys working in a small but passionate team
• Degree qualified in HR or relevant Business degree
• Excellent MS Office skills
