YFS is a place-based community organisation delivering a broad range of support services to the people of Logan and surrounding areas. Our organisation is growing fast, and we are expanding our HR Team to keep up with our commitment to looking after our incredible workforce, as well as our community.

We are seeking a Human Resources Officer to support our recruitment, onboarding, and workplace wellbeing activities. You will be part of our small but mighty HR Team, working in partnership with hiring managers and leaders across the organisation to support our growth and workforce retention.

About the job

  • Role location: Slacks Creek
  • Role type: Permanent, full-time
  • Pay range: $94,160 - $98,422 a year based on experience, with salary packaging exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available

In this role you will:

  • Work in partnership with hiring managers across the organisation to help identify, attract, and recruit the best candidates for our roles. This will include support to create or update candidate requirements and develop effective attraction strategies, including job ads.
  • Coordinate and monitor HR processes, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, induction and exit processes.
  • Manage the organisations Workcover and Rehabilitation and Return to Work requirements.
  • Assist with the management of HR data and employee compliance requirements.
  • Support our transition to a new cloud-based HR Information System over the next 12 months.

About you

  • You are a confident and adaptable HR professional, wanting to bring your skills and knowledge of contemporary HR practice to supporting great work in the community.
  • You work well with a diverse range of people.
  • You have an understanding of HR practice in a social and community services setting, however this is not essential.
  • You want to work in community services to contribute to making a difference in people's lives.
