About the role

As the Regional Manager of our jobactive services in Hunter Valley you will report into the National Employment Services Manager who is based in Brisbane. Your days will be varied and challenging but your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving performance to meet business goals;
  • Leading and managing the team across 2 sites - Maitland and Cessnock to achieve performance targets underpinned by service delivery, financial management and contractual obligations;
  • Growing our brand presence by playing a pivotal role in community engagement and increasing our business opportunities;
  • Ensuring service delivery is client centred, strengths based and aligned to the National Framework for Child-Safe organisations.

About you

To be successful in this role you have;

  • Demonstrated experience within Employment Services including operations management;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple employment services sites;
  • Extensive knowledge of youth employment issues including challenges to employment, and strategies to overcome said challenges;
  • Proven ability in identifying skill shortages in the local labour market and developing employer focused strategies to place disadvantaged young people into sustainable employment;
  • Solid experience leading and inspiring a diverse team the ability to ‘switch’ between a strategic and operational focus;
  • Great communication skills and the ability to effectively manage upwards with a geographically dispersed management team;
  • A dynamic, results driven attitude coupled with the ability to troubleshoot on your feet.
