YWCA Canberra is a feminist not-for-profit organisation that has provided community services and has represented women’s issues in Canberra since 1929.
Today, we provide leading and innovative services to women and the broader Canberra community in the areas of children’s services, community development, housing, youth services, personal and professional training, and women’s leadership and violence prevention trainings and programs.
The Domestic Violence (DV) Support Service at YWCA Canberra provides a free and confidential service for women and children in Canberra who are affected by domestic and family violence.
We are currently seeking to employ an experienced Case Manager to join our Domestic Violence Support Service team. This is a permanent role within the service. The case manager will be supported by the Director, Prevention of Violence and DV responses.
The Case Manager will provide client focused, gender and trauma informed case management and case coordination to women and children who have experienced domestic and/or family violence. The DV Case manager will support women and children to be safe and provide them a range of support and advocacy services.
If you have been working in community sector and have passion to support and empower vulnerable community members, have good communications skills, the ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team and a can-do attitude, we look forward to hearing from you!
The successful applicant will hold, or be able to obtain, Working with Vulnerable People card, current National Criminal Record Check, and a current driver’s license.
