What You'll Do

As our Housing Tenders Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of securing vital funding from federal, state, and local sources to enhance our national portfolio of social and affordable housing. Your expertise will guide us through every funding round, ensuring our proposals are compelling, comprehensive, and impactful.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing tender submissions, including overseeing the entire process from drafting persuasive responses to coordinating input from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Forging and nurturing strategic relationships with senior stakeholders to enhance our funding opportunities and position YWCA for long-term success.
  • Project managing all aspects of the funding process, from proposal development and documentation to submission and post-submission follow-up, working closely with the bid team and external stakeholders
  • Conducting in-depth research to identify emerging government initiatives and funding opportunities that align with YWCA’s Evolve Strategy 2026 (YeS2026).

Who You Are

We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional who is enthusiastic about systems and the impact they have on supporting our team members, their work and fostering a positive workplace culture. You will have:

  • Proven success in leading complex tenders and submission writing, with a track record in consortia proposals.
  • Experience in community housing or property development is highly desirable, with an understanding of sector-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage funding pipelines, adapt to shifting priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using tech-based solutions to enhance efficiency.

Successful candidates will need to complete the following pre-employment requirements:

  • National Criminal History Check
  • Valid State-Based Working with Children Permit
