ABOUT THIS ROLE

YWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Program Support Worker to join our Lismore team. This role is offered on a casual basis.

The role is responsible for providing support to the Northern NSW team across services and programs by:

• Assisting to set up and support program delivery including program preparation, meals prep, transport and program deliver under supervision.
• Supporting the coordinator of programs and activities as required.
• Supporting group participants to contribute meaningfully to program activities and provide support to achieve program outcomes.
• Assisting with set up and closure of program sessions including transportation, purchasing, and catering and meal preparation.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal applicant will have:

• Qualifications and/or demonstrated knowledge and experience in community services, early childhood education, youth work or community development and program support.
• Strong understanding of the nature of community services work and the challenges faced by disadvantaged and Indigenous families and individuals.
• Strong administration skills, including experience using Microsoft Office suite.

This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily meet our pre-employment requirements.

This includes:

• Completion of a national criminal history check
• A valid relevant state-based working with children permit.
• Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination, which includes Government recommended boosters.
