Position Overview

In this unique and flexible role, you will have an opportunity to utilise your outstanding administration, operation, and promotional skills to support and coordinate ZWV activities and events.

The Events and Sponsorship Coordinator will have a pivotal role in assisting in the development and growth of ZWV and the Zero Waste Festival. In this position, you will work closely with the festival director, president and festival team to support the ZWV Management Committee; a small team of passionate people who have come together with a common goal to educate and empower people to avoid the creation of unnecessary waste.

The successful candidate will be efficient, well-organised and have proven experience in sponsorship acquisition, event coordination and administration. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and attention to detail are a must. You will shine in this role if you also have an understanding of sustainability practices and / or experience with Zero Waste principles such as low waste living.

This role is 10-15 hours per week with potential for flexibility of hours upon discussion. There could be an increase in hours available in August/ September to provide support in the lead up to the festival which is being held on Saturday 17th September. This position would suit someone looking to work these hours spread over a week.

The successful candidate must be reliable and have the capacity to work independently from home. They may be required to attend some meetings in Melbourne or an agreed location, however, most meetings will be online. The position is a four-month term which can be taken as a casual part-time position or contract role with an ABN, with potential for additional hours in the lead up to the event, and to become an ongoing position. An immediate start is preferred.
