ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated People & Culture Advisor to join our Business Services team in Ipswich. This full-time role is ideal for an experienced HR Generalist with a wide range of skills in the HR field. You will be part of a tight-knit team that is committed to supporting our staff and driving positive change in alignment with our mission and values.

Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing an annual wellbeing plan, providing expert advice to internal clients, managing employee investigations, tracking performance data, supporting HR projects and initiatives, coordinating the employment process, maintaining our HRIS system, and regularly reviewing and updating company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Possession of a degree in Human Resources.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a HR generalist role with exposure at strategic and operational level.
  • Experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Ability to coach others to build capacity and confidence in managing people.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Ability to manage fluid demands, interruptions and priorities to balance workload and achieve objectives
  • Ability to look beyond compliance orientated HR to develop innovative, effective solutions to meet the organizational needs
  • Current driver’s license, Blue Card (WWCC) & COVID Vaccination (or medical exemption)
  • All DVAC staff are required to complete a National Police Check upon successful offer of position.
