The role:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate Team Leader to join an established and successful employment and training provider at our Joondalup site. We have an established team delivering services to young people within the Transition to Work program contract in Perth North!

The Team Leader: Transition to Work (TTW) is responsible for the Transition to Work service delivery at site level in accordance with the Organisations Global Services Model which promotes the use of internal resources and collaborations with other key departments.

In this role you will assume responsibility for the day to day operations of the Transition to Work program. The responsibilities include leading and directing staff to ensure contractual performance at the site is maximised, meeting Participant and contractual compliance as well as ensuring service delivery requirements are adhered to. You will also engage, facilitate and empower a caseload of young Participants by motivating and guiding them to develop themselves with appropriate attributes and skills that enables them to gain meaningful and sustainable employment. This includes apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities.

The position requires a flexible, outcome focused individual who has a can-do attitude, is mature minded individual with a high level of interpersonal communication and organisational skills. 

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• A sound understanding of issues faced by youth, unemployed and disadvantaged people 
• A focus on employment and education outcomes to achieve and meet KPI’s
• Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Possess the ability to lead and supervise multiple staff, and provide them with expert advice to assist participants with a range of barriers into employment
• Ability to understand and interpret organisational and contractual policies and guidelines
• Demonstrated experience in a fast paced, outcome focussed environment 
• Relevant experience in the Employment Services or similar industry (highly desirable)
