The Beautiful Bunch is a Melbourne-based floral delivery service bringing joy through flowers and creating jobs for women from refugee backgrounds. We are a social enterprise, offering training and employment opportunities to young women who are experiencing challenges to finding employment.

Our purpose is to support our trainees to build the confidence, skills, and social networks needed to find meaningful work and begin the path to achieving their dreams.

THe opportunity

We are hiring a talented Administration and Career Pathways Coordinator with a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of the young women we work with. As the only social enterprise florist in Australia working with young women from refugee backgrounds, it is crucial that you share our vision and values to contributing to a better world for people and the planet.

The role is administratively focused during our fast-paced mornings, whilst our flowers are being created and are heading across the city with our couriers. In the afternoons, whilst still attending to administrative tasks, the role also requires communication with corporate clients and small businesses to create employment pathways for our trainees, supporting them to find work and study opportunities that are relevant to their skills and interests.

Key Responsibilities - Administration

  • Process all orders and maintain customer management
  • Liaise with suppliers, couriers and customers
  • Contribute to the organised, orderly and smooth running of daily operations
  • Assist with inventory control and manage stock ordering procedures
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as data entry, filing, and record-keeping
  • Lead the development of more efficient administration processes

Key Responsibilities - Career Pathways Coordinator

  • Provide a personalised case management approach to advising program participants on career choices and pathways and actively progressing them through the relevant opportunities for training and employment
  • Collaborate with the Director of Social Impact and Trainee Development to familiarise program participants with industry and career opportunities through workplace visits and workshops
  • Form connections with industry and employers that will create opportunities for program participants to gain work experience and successfully transition to employment
  • Achieve the goal of ensuring all program participants secure employment or pursue further education/training upon graduation
  • Assist the Director of Social Impact and Trainee Development in documenting relevant participant information and producing progress reports
  • Perform additional duties as required and directed by the CEO and Director of Social Impact and Trainee Development

Experience and Skills We Are Looking For

  • Highly-developed administration and computer skills - skills in Microsoft Programs, Word, and Excel, is a must
  • Strong organisational and time/priority management skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to pivot when priorities change
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Highly organised, attention to detail, and ability to work independently, with ability to multi-task
